By signing in with Discord you agree to these terms and to the community rules. Breaking them can lead to warnings, suspensions or removal.
BritishLife is a community-run roleplay server. Membership is free, requires no purchase, and is granted at the sole discretion of the management team.
You must be at least 16 years old to hold an account, and at least 18 to hold a staff position. If you are below these ages, do not register.
You are responsible for everything done through your account, including anything done with your Discord account. Sharing access to your account is not permitted.
By joining you agree to follow the community rules, which are shown in full on our website and may be updated at any time. The rules cover conduct both on the Discord server and on the website.
You accept the rules again each time you complete onboarding, and you are responsible for staying familiar with them after any update.
Do not harass, threaten, or target other members. Do not use slurs or hate speech. Do not deliberately disrupt scenes, events or voice channels. Do not exploit bugs, or attempt to gain access to areas, roles or systems you are not entitled to.
Do not share private conversations, voice recordings or out-of-character personal information without the consent of those involved. Content created for this community stays here; do not repost it elsewhere.
Management may issue warnings, restrict your abilities, suspend your membership, or remove your account entirely. Warnings and suspensions are recorded against your account and apply to both the Discord server and the website.
Decisions are made by the management team on the evidence available at the time. Depending on the severity of the issue, a suspension may be lifted after a period of good conduct.
The service is provided as-is and free of charge. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may change, suspend or withdraw features, schedules or events. We are not liable for losses arising from downtime or from changes to the service.
Anything you write, build or post in character on this server belongs to BritishLife and may be archived, quoted in moderation, or removed. Please do not upload anything unlawful, and do not use the community to advertise, scam or solicit.
You may leave at any time by removing your account. We may end your membership if you break these terms or the community rules, or if you are asked to leave. Where you are removed for misconduct, we may keep a record to prevent the same account returning.
We may update these terms. When we make a material change, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms set out the community agreement. They are not a substitute for independent legal advice, and they do not limit rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.
